IYD: CONYSSA urges Youth to embrace peace and work hard for the betterment of our nation | TheCity

The world celebrates International Youth Day as an awareness day on August 12th every year.

In commemoration of this year’s celebration, the Director General, Coalition of Nigeria Youth on Security and Safety(CONYSSA), Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel celebrate the power and potential of young people worldwide and wish all the young people a happy World Youth Day

Mario added that the Youth are the trustee of prosperity. The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. The world celebrates International Youth Day as an awareness day on August 12 every year is marked to recognise the efforts of the world’s youth to enhance global society.

The purpose of this day is to raise voices against any injustice or discrimination happening in the world against the youth as they are most important in nation building

“The energy and talent of the youth of our country are unmatched. We all are hopeful that with your efforts,you are going to lead our nation to new heights.”

Reacting to this year’s theme, “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”, he expressed that this year’s theme is an important one, as it highlights that children don’t grow up in isolation. They are deeply embedded with their peers, their communities, and their families.

He urged youth to embrace peace and work hard for the betterment of our nation

Mario called on the general public particularly parents, teachers, community leaders, religious leaders, politicians, governments etc not to shy away from their responsibilities of their wards by inculcating in them good moral and social behavior
